Version 2.2.0 Update for #Splatoon2 launches on January 17th!

Next Wednesday, January 17th, the Version 2.2.o update for Splatoon 2 goes live on the Nintendo Switch!

For those wondering what to expect from the update, the patch notes have been posted to the Japanese Nintendo website’s support page (they have yet to make it to the English page). They bring about quite a number of gameplay changes, including adjustments to the Salmon Run mechanic. We have copied and pasted them below for your convenience, and you can also review them at this link.

Change on salmon run

    • Fixed an issue where players sometimes get in the terrain when they touch Teppan which is stopped on the slope.

Other changes

  • Fixed a problem that part of the topography seems to float in the air when looking down at the hako fugue warehouse and looking down at the watching mode.
  • Fixed a problem that a specific gear is displayed bright even in the shade.
  • When shooting with amiibo on a specific stage, fixed the problem that the limbs of the character sometimes get stuck in the terrain and the other character.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes the equipped Buki became a wakaba shooter when players with ★ in rank appeared in the plaza.

Splatoon 2 is available to play only on the Nintendo Switch.
