For those looking to tune in to the finals for Battle for the Stones this weekend, you’ll be pleased to know that Capcom has released the official bracket for review!
Top 16 to GF is 12/8, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM PT at Anaheim Hilton Hotel (free entry)
Grand Finals is 12/10, 2:00 PM PT at PSX (PSX badge required)

The Battle for the Stones finals consists of the seven EVO champions for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, the winners of the three online qualifiers, and the six winners of all of the series’s Infinity Stone events. These sixteen players will battle for bragging rights and a glorious one-of-a-kind trophy that symbolizes their victory. Additionally, a $30,000 prize pool will be split across the Top 3 at the finals, with 66% of the pot ($20,000) going to the winner.
Unlike your typical bracket, however, this one will come with a special twist. The six players who won the Infinity Stones from their respective offline tournaments will have an opportunity to bend a tournament ruling to their favor for only one time (such as changing your bracket position, remapping the opponent’s controls, etc.). However, if the Stone Bearer should lose a tournament set, they must relinquish their Infinity Stone to the winner, who in turns gains the benefit allotted to him by the stone.
The Battle for the Stones Finals will coincide with Capcom Cup this weekend at the Anaheim Hilton Hotel. The Grand Finals will occur at the Anaheim Convention Center this Sunday at 2 P.M. Pacific Time. Along with both events, the Playstation Experience kicks off this year at the ACC.
