Last night, eight titles were announced as part of the main lineup for Evolution 2018, which takes place at Mandalay Bay later this August. Guilty Gear XRD Revelator 2 is counted among those titles, and will therefore be making a glorious return to the World Stage as one of five games to conclude the event on Finals Day.
In addition, a balance patch for Guilty Gear has been confirmed by Ishiwatari Daisuke, General Director for the Guilty Gear series from ArcSystemWorks, the company responsible for the creation of the BlazBlue series and now DragonBall FighterZ. The patch was confirmed in an amazing trailer that dropped during the EVO reveal.
When will this patch be coming? March 2018.

The full announcement can be seen in the trailer below, which also confirms that the first two DLC characters for BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle will be free to download and play once they are released (more on that here). Skip to the 4:10 mark for the Guilty Gear patch announcement!
The patch will launch for all available platforms (Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and PC) and regions simultaneously in March. Exactly how the characters will be affected remains anybody’s guess, as it will likely be a while before patch notes are shared by ArcSystem.
Guilty Gear will join two more of ArcSystem’s creations, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle and DragonBall FighterZ, at EVO 2018 later this year!
